“The art of peace begins with you. work on yourself and your appointed task in the Art of Peace. Everyone has a spirit that can be refined, a body that can be trained in some manner, a suitable path to follow. You are here for no other purpose than to realize your inner divinity and manifest your inner enlightenment. Foster peace in your own life and then apply the Art to all that you encounter” — Morihei Ueshiba
It all begins with you. That doesn’t mean that you should be centered on your ego, or self-absorbed in any way. On the contrary, it all begins with you means that it all begins with you as your naked self.
You as a big block of marble. Through time, and with a very small chisel, you will gain wisdom, experience, and learn to practice your virtues. You will create a beautiful statue from that marble. This is how you will fulfill your purpose, your divinity and your enlightenment. One chisel stroke at the time. First, we foster peace. We let go of all expectation. We lose thought, we loose will, and we lose the yearning of any outcome. Then, we get to work: we practice.
